An Update on International Orders
It is with regret that Fantom Publishing has made the difficult decision to suspend international shipping with immediate effect.
We have always been delighted to send our books and products to customers around the world, and this is not a decision we have taken lightly. Unfortunately, the process of shipping goods internationally has become increasingly complex in recent years, with increased postage charges, changing tax requirements and customs procedures creating significant difficulties for both ourselves and our customers.
Recent changes to the rules governing international shipments, particularly those affecting deliveries into the European Union, have added further complications. At the same time, we have seen a growing number of orders being returned to us from overseas addresses. These returns create additional costs and administrative complications that, as a small independent publisher, are becoming increasingly difficult for us to absorb.
After careful consideration, we have therefore concluded that the most responsible option is to temporarily limit our shipping service to UK addresses.
As of today, Fantom Publishing will only be able to accept and fulfil orders for delivery within the United Kingdom.
Digital downloads are not affected by this change and remain available for purchase worldwide.
We are genuinely sorry to our customers overseas, many of whom have supported Fantom for many years. We understand that this change will be disappointing and we encourage them to seek products through third party websites and distributors.
“This is the result of an increasingly complicated and fragile international shipping environment” says Company Director Dexter O’Neill, “The risks, costs and administrative requirements have become too difficult for us to manage reliably.
We will continue to review the situation and, if circumstances change sufficiently to allow us to resume international shipping, we will let our customers know”.
For the time being, however, Fantom remains open for orders across the UK, and we would like to thank all of our customers, both at home and abroad, for their continued support and understanding.
