Owing to BBC policy in the 1960’s and 70’s, a vast number of television programmes were wiped, thought never to be seen again. Thanks to some fantastic finds, slowly, but surely, episodes of long lost classics have been returned, including many editions of Doctor Who.
This release provides commentaries for some of the “orphaned” William Hartnell episodes of Doctor Who (where the story longer exists in its entirety) covering the recently returned Galaxy 4 episode Airlock, three episodes of The Daleks’ Master Plan and the final episode of The Celestial Toymaker.
Moderated by actor, comedian and cult television enthusiast Toby Hadoke, this release features Peter Purves (Steven Taylor), David Graham (Dalek Voices), Donald Tosh (Script Editor), Brian Hodgson(Special Sound), Clive Doig (Vision Mixer) and a special bonus interview with Mission To The Unknown star Jeremy Young.
These CDs can be enjoyed on their own or played in conjunction with the official BBC DVD release.
