Victor Pemberton 1931 – 2017

Fantom are saddened to learn that our friend and author Victor Pemberton has passed away at the age of 85.

Victor is best known to Doctor Who fans for penning the Troughton classic Fury from the Deep and the audio play The Pescaton featuring Tom Baker; he also contributed to television series Timeslip, Tightrope, Ace of Wands, The Adventures of Black Beauty and Fraggle Rock.

We worked alongside Victor in 2010 to publish a collection of his early radio plays featuring possibly his most famous tale The Slide, and we mounted new productions of his classic tales Dark (with Tracey Childs and Judith Paris) and Night of the Wolf (with Fenella Fielding).
